Finally, I've recovered and rebuilt the pics from the 2006 Tequila Race and converted and added the Ponderosa flyby video clip above. In 2015 I had a major computer crash, and seem to have lost the image files, but had an index page with frame numbers. So Covid quarantined, I've worked through an old HD to find the originals, which were shot on a little Panasonic DMC-LC5, and a Nikon D70, two cameras that died years ago! Kathleen and I came out on our little C&C 27 - look at all the gill nets at the canal entrance! We raced on Bob's Yamaha 37, competing with Jake, the fast Hunter 45, and Ponderosa, the big Valiant 47. Note the short course, rounding the Duwamish Head mark. Traveling in oposite directions, watch Ponderosa blow by us in 30 seconds! Adventuress came over to Blakely Harbor too, and Mark and Diane arrived at the raft-up on their little catamaran, just after Larry and Karen's Panta Rhei, a favorite dinner boat. I think the tabby cats were Jake and Sharon's. This is the trip, that I got the special shot of Jim and Barbara's Hallberg-Rassy 36 Complexity, with Mount Ranier in the background. We took our little C&C back through the locks, and spotted Nora on her bike. Hope I didn't miss anyone! What a good trip!
